Privacy policy

Less mystery. More privacy. Here is how we handle information when you play Gem & Go or visit our website.

Who we are

Molinit is the data controller for Gem & Go on all supported platforms and www.gemandgo.com. For privacy questions or requests, contact privacy@molinit.com.

Anonymous game analytics

We measure anonymous gameplay activity, progress, and technical problems only to produce aggregated statistics, improve the game, and identify bugs. Telemetry is not linked to names, emails, leaderboard nicknames, persistent device identifiers, or other identifying information.

Raw gameplay telemetry is kept for no more than 30 days, then deleted. Only anonymous aggregated statistics may be kept longer. This limit does not cover leaderboard data, website analytics, or correspondence below.

Scores and local storage

Optional high-score submissions contain your nickname, score, level, submission time, and a random device identifier. Nicknames and scores are public; the identifier is not. It links your submissions to recognise your scores without an account, so this data is separate from anonymous telemetry. Do not use real names or contact details as nicknames.

Scores are kept while needed for rankings, unless removed following a valid deletion request. Local game data and the identifier remain until cleared or the app is removed, subject to platform backups. Clearing storage or uninstalling does not delete online scores. Playing does not require submitting a score.

Website and cookies

Optional website analytics loads only after "Accept analytics"; rejecting it does not limit the site. We use Google Analytics to measure visits, pages, interactions, browser and device information, and approximate region using browser identifiers and cookies. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Analytics cookies may last up to two years; website analytics retention depends on service settings and provider policies, not the gameplay 30-day limit. We save your consent choice locally for one year solely to remember it. To change or withdraw consent, clear this website's cookies and site data, reload, and reject analytics. You can also block cookies in your browser; this does not delete previously processed data.

How information is used

We rely on consent for website analytics, providing the service you request for leaderboards, and legitimate interests for service reliability, abuse prevention, and answering enquiries. Hosting and game services process IP addresses, request times, browser information, and error/security logs for these operational purposes. Logs and correspondence are retained only as needed for their purposes or legal obligations, which may also require processing.

We do not sell personal information, share it for targeted advertising, use gameplay telemetry for cross-app tracking, or make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Providers and security

Hosting, storage, and analytics providers process data to operate our services. We may also disclose data to meet legal requirements or protect rights and security. App stores process information under their own policies.

Locations depend on the provider and may include countries outside the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers rely on adequacy decisions or safeguards such as standard contractual clauses; contact us for details or copies of applicable safeguards. We protect data with encrypted connections and restricted access, but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of your personal data, restrict processing, or object, including to processing based on legitimate interests. Consent can be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may complain to a competent data protection supervisory authority, including in the EU country where you live, work, or an alleged infringement occurred.

Email privacy@molinit.com with your request and, for scores, the nickname and submission details. We may verify your request. There is no account to delete, and we cannot identify individual players in anonymous telemetry.

Children and privacy

We do not knowingly collect children's personal information without legally required parental consent. Children should not share real names or contact details in scores or messages. Parents can contact us to investigate and remove a child's information where appropriate.

Policy updates

Updates appear here with a revised date. We provide additional notice or seek renewed consent for material changes where required.
